Kana Keyboard is a fast, colourful and privacy-minded Android keyboard built for people who type in more than one language.
Our story
Typing in your own language should feel natural, not like a compromise. Many keyboards treat regional languages as an afterthought, with awkward layouts, weak suggestions and no way to switch quickly between languages. Kana Keyboard was created to change that: one keyboard that respects the way you actually write, whether you are sending a message in your mother tongue, replying to a colleague in English, or mixing both in the same chat.
Our mission
To give everyone a keyboard that speaks their language, looks the way they like, and keeps their typing private. We believe a keyboard is one of the most personal tools on your phone, so it should be simple, trustworthy and a pleasure to use every day.
What Kana Keyboard offers
- Many languages in one keyboard. Dozens of languages and scripts, with quick switching through the globe key or a swipe.
- Smart word suggestions. Suggestions that help you type faster, plus optional word learning so the keyboard adapts to the way you write. Learned words stay on your device.
- Voice typing. Speak instead of typing, using your phone's built-in speech recognition.
- Voice translation. Speak or type in one language and get the translation in another, right from the keyboard.
- Clipboard history and pins. Find something you copied earlier and pin the snippets you use often.
- Emoji panel and number row. Everything you need for expressive, accurate typing.
- PC-style shortcuts. Ctrl, arrow keys and other shortcuts for people who like a desktop-style layout, plus volume-key cursor movement and long-press copy and paste.
- Beautiful themes. Floral themes, animated RGB themes, your own background photo, key tap effects, key sounds and gentle vibration feedback.
Privacy first
Text you type is not uploaded to our servers. Learned words, your clipboard history and your sign-in details are stored on your device and protected with Android's hardware-backed encryption. You can read exactly what we collect and why on our Privacy Policy page.
